Description
You are bidding on a Rare Imperial Glass signed Free Hand with paper iron cross label. The vase has a mirror orange finish on the outside and inside of the vase with black or dark cobalt handles, base, and top trim. There is a white layer of pearl glass between the layers of orange. This vase has a damaged small open crack under the lower bulge which can be seen in the 4th photograph. The white layer is exposed in the ding. There is wear to the orange finish in the inside base of the vase. The vase is about 7 1/4" high and about 5 1/4" across. This particular vase is shown in an Imperial glass ad dated 1923. Please look at all of the photographs as they are part of the description and ask any questions before you bid. The vase will be carefully wrapped and shipped insured. It is sold as is and is not returnable. There is a photo of a very similar shape numbered 1641 on page 446 in the Imperial Glass Encyclopedia volume 2 by the National Imperial Glass Collectors Society. There is also one on the cover of the book. BBeautiful water set by Imperial Glass Company, Blue, Luster Roses, in excellent condition. Pitcher and 4 glasses, Pitcher is 8 1/4" high, 4 1/2" wide and 8 1/2" long. Tumblers are approximately 4 1/4" tall and 3 3/4" across.
