The Cathay pattern was designed for the Imperial Glass Company in 1949 by Virginia B Evans.  The pattern was short lived due to the high costs of production as well as distribution.
The fan-shaped,covered Sweetmeat box is clear glass. It is triangular in shape and measures approximately 2 1/2" in height with the lid, 8" along the straight sides and 9 3/4" across the curved top of the fan cover. Both lid & base are decorated with embossed oriental emblems. Beautiful detailed lid/cover!!!
So many ways this piece can be used!!!  Use it as a trinket dish, candy dish wonderful piece to display on a vanity.
Signed Virginia B Evans as photo shows.
There is one tiny fleabite on the lid.  Certainly nothing that takes away from the beauty of this piece.

My glass is always wrapped in foam first & then bubble wrap.
