Full set of Sekai Ichi barware by the Imperial Glass Company. My mother received it as a wedding gift in 1964, Queens NY. There are many glasses with worn edges, which is much more apparent with the backlight of the pictures. The small whiskey/ cordial glasses are in good shape.4 Highball

Imperial Store Advertising Sign Bent Glass Black Gold Painted RARE.
Condition is very good.
The edges are rough from the factory to keep the edges from being sharp and dangerous. The corners are ground off for the same reason.
See photos for the roughness and minute flaking on the edges. I don't know if these were done in the factory grinding or after.
The glass is not smooth which gives it a matte effect. This can be seen in the angled close up photos.
I got this sign from the former Imperial Glass Representative for the Atlanta area in the late 1980s. He said they were made by Houze Glass for Imperial since the former routinely made bent glass items. (Other signs were made by outside firms and artists such as the Paperweight Sign made by Ed Rithner) This is also mentioned in the Imperial Glass Encyclopedia Volume 3, page 639 (item number 1936).
