1960's Imperial Glass Flat Iron Covered Butter/Candy Dish Green
I am thinning out beautiful glass pieces handed down to me from my grandmother.
I hope this is admired by the next owner as much as my grandmother adored it.
Vintage from the 1960s, handcrafted glass, made in USA by Imperial Glass from 1962 to 1968. This Imperial Glass candy dish was made in the shape of an antique flat iron. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Imperial produced this in a variety of colors, this particular piece is a lovely shade of Green.
The cover and base are pressed in an intricate pattern of faceted diamonds or small pyramids.
The lid has the pressed pattern on the inside and the large handle is twisted like a rope.
The rim of the base has a tabbed handle along with a graceful scalloped design and a pressed diamond pattern on the underside bottom that rests on three round peg feet.
Flat Iron Measures approx. 3 7/8" tall x 5" wide x 8 5/8" long.
There is some moldline roughness, tiny embedded bubbles, and straw marks (creases) in somepieces, this is normal with glass from this era.
Ships USPS medium flat rate, packaged well, from a smoke-free home.
