Description
Beautiful rose pink glass urn vase by Imperial Glass. It is a pedestal shape encircled with embossed dancing nymphs, very much like the Consolidated Glass Co. Dance of the Nudes pattern from the 1920s to 1930s. This vase is not frosted, it is clear. So pretty! This vase is nearly 3 pounds without shipping box. This vase came from an antique dealers estate. It is in beautiful condition. I also have another one just like it in the same condition from his estate.
Height: 8 1/2”

This is an Imperial Glass FH 230 Free Hand vase from Special Lot 1985. It has a cobalt blue foot and lip treatment and was finished in Imperial's mirror orange décor. The base glass is opal. These true art glass vases were made at Imperial for just one year in 1924. Free Hand glass is blown and shaped by hand without using a mould. This glass was expensive to make and the shop of European workers that produced Imperial's Free Hand line were only employed by the company for just the one year. Several of these men worked for Fenton in 1925 for a year and then moved on to Durand after that. Some were employed by Quezal prior to Imperial. That is the reason that a few shapes produced by all of these companies were very similar in form.
The vase stands 11-1/4" (28.3 cm) tall and measures 3-1/2" (8.9 cm) across the top. The foot is 4-5/8" (11.7 cm) in diameter. This one one of the taller Imperial Free Hand items that were made. The piece is in excellent condition without chips, flea bites, scratches, or staining.
The first four photos are of the vase as it was rotated.
